Registration is now OPEN for Fall Ball 2024. PYSA will field both advanced and recreational teams during the fall. All teams will play on Sundays and practice on 1-2 weekdays.
The same registration system is used for both advanced and recreational teams. If your player is interested in an advanced team, you will be able to indicate their interest during the registration process. Please note that players must have played with PYSA for at least one recreational season in order to be eligible for an advanced team. There is no eligibility requirement for our fall recreational teams. See details below for more information on the types of teams and how they are selected.
New this fall: We will take registrations for a 16U team, for players who have aged out of 14U but want to get ready for their high school tryouts.

Recreational teams will play in our traditional PYSA Fall Classic league against teams from both PYSA and other area leagues. They will play one game on Sundays at our home field (Robb Field in Ocean Beach).
Advanced teams will play in the SoCal 1904 Fastpitch League. This league will feature high-level play against teams throughout the region, with doubleheaders every Sunday and some weekend tournaments. Managers of advanced teams select their own players from those who indicate interest during the registration process. If your player is selected for an advanced team, you will be notified by the manager. Players who are not selected for an advanced team will be placed on a recreational team.
Beginning with the fall 2023 season, USA Softball aligned players more closely with their school grades than with their calendar birth year. See our FAQs for the 2024-2025 age chart.
PYSA will align with USA Softball dates, but players do have the choice to submit play-up or play-down requests, as in previous years. (Play-down requests are not allowed for advanced / 1904 teams.)
If you would like to submit a play-up or play-down request, please first register according to birth date (the registration system will automatically place your player in a division). Then contact our Player Agent, Kristy Kirk, after your registration is complete.

Our fall season is for girls who want to play all year round or get ready for a higher division in the spring. Beginners are welcome to start playing in the fall too! We usually offer both a recreational option and an advanced league for more experienced players.
